A WhatsApp post by an Italian bishop’s secretary showing Pride flags as a swastika sparked media coverage, prompting explanations from the secretary and two responses from his bishop.
The Italian city of Aosta held its third homosexual march on 26 September. That same day, Bishop Franco Lovignana’s secretary, Gilbert Turcotti, posted on his personal WhatsApp status a graphic showing four trans flags arranged to form a swastika. He accompanied it with the words “Questione di prospettiva…” (“A matter of perspective…”). Turcotti subsequently deleted the post.
When GazzettaMatin.com contacted him about the image, Turcotti replied: “It seemed like a nice colourful design to me.”
According to Bobine.tv, Turcotti said that he had deleted it because the day was over and repeated that he thought it was a colourful design. When the swastika was pointed out, he replied: “Well, look, sometimes, coincidence. I have nothing to say.”
According to La Verità, the following evening Turcotti said that he …Lokwengentiwe

The Vatican will publish Pope Francis's diary from 1992 to 2024, edited and commented on by Cardinal Fernández, reportedly against his "will." Will it reveal what led him to push so many changes to the Church, from banning the Latin Mass to "blessings" for same-sex couples?

A 17-year-old Dutch girl was killed by euthanasia after doctors concluded that she was experiencing “unbearable and hopeless psychological suffering”.
Milou Verhoof died on 2 October 2023 after suffering from mental-health problems for years and undergoing repeated treatments. Her case was later examined by the Netherlands’ Regional Euthanasia Review Committees, which found that the doctor had complied with the country’s legal requirements for euthanasia.
Because Milou was 17, her parents had to be involved in the decision-making process, although Dutch law did not require their consent. Her parents ultimately supported her "decision".
The case later drew objections from fourteen doctors, mostly psychiatrists, who asked prosecutors to examine aspects of her euthanasia, including questions about her capacity to decide and possible influence from those around her.
The case returned to the Dutch courts in 2026 after Milou’s parents sought the identities of those critical doctors.

Here's the statement from CLC: On Sunday, October 4, thousands of Christians across North America will gather for Life Chain, an annual hour of prayer and peaceful public witness for the preborn whose lives have been snuffed out by abortion. Now in its 36th year in Canada, Life Chain has become one of the country’s largest coordinated pro-life demonstrations. 27. októbra sa Lev XIV. vydá do Assisi na 40. výročie Svetového dňa modlitby za mier, ktorý v roku 1986 zvolal pápež Ján Pavol II. Vtedy bola na svätostánku umiestnená socha Budhu.
Stretnutie v roku 2026 s názvom „Mier bez zbraní a odzbrojujúci mier“ zíde 384 predstaviteľov náboženstiev, kultúr a inštitúcií z 53 krajín.
Dutch Auxiliary Bishop Rob Mutsaerts mocked claims of a Catholic “springtime” at the Catholic Identity Conference in Pittsburgh last weekend:
“If I were beginning by saying, ‘My dear friends, everything is going splendidly,’ I suspect that you would immediately check whether I have been replaced by an employee of the communications department of the Vatican.”
“Catholics today fall in two groups. There are those who think the Church is experiencing an unprecedented springtime and those who have actually looked at the statistics.”

Dutch Auxiliary Bishop Rob Mutsaerts of ’s-Hertogenbosch: “I do not have to spend very much time convincing this audience that there is a crisis. And indeed, if I were beginning by saying, ‘My dear friends, everything is going splendidly,’ I suspect that you would immediately check whether I have been replaced by an employee of the communications department of the Vatican. And perhaps this is already the first difficulty. Catholics today fall in two groups. There are those who think the Church is experiencing an unprecedented springtime and those who have actually looked at the statistics.”

National Rally leader Marine Le Pen has been sentenced to 3 years in prison (2 of which are suspended) and fined €100,000 The remaining one year will be served under house arrest with an electronic bracelet. The court also reduced her political ineligibility from 5 years to 45 months (3.7 years), of which she has already served 30 months. Because Le Pen had already begun serving the disqualification from the initial ruling, the court ruled that the ineligibility period has been satisfied, making her eligible to run in France’s April 2027 presidential election. Le Pen has previously stated that she would not seek the presidency if forced to campaign while wearing an electronic ankle monitor.

Irish bishop backs cancellation of country singer’s concert in Catholic church.
Irish Bishop Kevin Doran of Achonry and Elphin has backed the cancellation of a Christmas concert by country singer Nathan Carter inside St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Boyle. He explained that churches are sacred spaces, not concert venues or “disco settings”: “The important thing is to preserve the nature of the church and the sanctuary as a sacred space,” he said.
The December 13 concert had been approved by a previous parish priest. Tickets were already on sale. Then, the new parish priest cancelled the event after taking charge of the parish this autumn.
The Diocese has rules governing concerts in churches. Music need not be strictly liturgical, but it should be spiritual in character and compatible with the sacred nature of the building.
Carter whined he was “extremely disappointed” by the cancellation.

Churches are sacred spaces, not concert venues or “disco settings”. In the Catholic tradition, you don't need an explanation. It's obvious.

That's what you call a follower. Always wants to be part of the crowd and fit in. With a weak mind who can't think, for themselves and to avoid problems with them. That's a real pity. The only time you would ever see me following anyone was when I couldn't talk my friends out of something. So I would go to watch over them to try and stop any problems or protecting them. A friend of over 60 years just mentioned that to me last night in an email.

Pagan ritual during Eucharist in Canadian cathedral.
On September 30, Notre-Dame Cathedral in Ottawa incorporated Indigenous ceremonial practices into a Eucharist. There was a purification or “smudging” rite at the beginning. Two Indigenous people approached the clergy in the sanctuary, including the bishop present, and fanned smoke from sacred plants (sweetgrass, cedar, sage and tobacco) toward them in a cleansing gesture. A four-directions prayer followed and the congregation turned to each direction before praying to “the Creator.” The Novus Ordo then continued. Feather rituals were also performed during the Prayers of the Faithful.

Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica in Ottawa incorporated an Indigenous purification ceremony, a four-directions prayer and other ceremonial practices into a Mass for Canada’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30.

Jane began to heal — eating again, tapering off morphine. The anorexia clinic dropped her, calling her a “liability.” When Jane chose life, her doctors walked away. Assisted suicide isn’t healthcare. It’s preying on the sick and vulnerable.

Yes, communism which NON Russians brought to the people and killed tens of millions of CATHOLICS AND ORTHODOX. Some people ought to take out all the hate from their hearts and their lying and get rid of the ignorance they speak.
What was Sister Lucia concerned about? communism.
What does the Church teach? communism is a sin and evil.

German Bishops’ Conference president Bishop Heiner Wilmer says he will bring the “experiences” of homosexual couples to Rome for the Vatican’s Amoris Laetitia summit.
Wilmer told katholisch.de that he prepared for the meeting, which begins tomorrow, by speaking with homosexuals and adulterers in a "second union".
Pope Leo XIV has stacked the meeting’s additional invitees with several pro-homosexual cardinals, including Jean-Claude Hollerich, Blase Cupich, Robert McElroy, Joseph Tobin, Víctor Manuel Fernández, José Cobo Cano and Luis Antonio Tagle.
Notably absent from Leo XIV’s 22 additional invitees are prominent critics of developments surrounding Amoris Laetitia, including Dubia Cardinal Raymond Burke and former Curia prefect Cardinal Gerhard Müller.
