Reluctant Saint - Francis of Assisi.
Andi on Jul 29, 2015
Saint Francis, the son of a merchant of Assisi, was born in the year 1182 in a poor stable, his birth already prophesying the Saint who would preach poverty to a world seduced by luxury. Though chosen by God to be for the world a living manifestation of Christ's poor and suffering life on earth, in his youth he was generous, always of equal humor, and much appreciated by his friends; he was fond of splendors, fine clothing, and good company, and easily won the affection of all who knew him. More than once various holy persons foretold for him a future of glory, but in veiled terms. Francis did not understand these predictions, and supposed he would become the leader of a large militia.
The military life he had adopted ended when Jesus told him he was destined to fight another kind of combat, one against the demon and sin; that the grandeurs predicted were spiritual, not temporal — and to return home. He became inspired with a …ເພີ່ມເຕີ່ມ

Leo XIV “largely continues the post-conciliar revolution,” Edward Pentin said October 3 at the Catholic Identity Conference in Pittsburgh.
“Pope Leo… is very much a continuity figure, continuing the post-conciliar course mapped out by Pope Francis,” Pentin said. While Leo has “changed the tone for the better,” his improvements remain “largely symbolic and small scale.”
Pentin said he has “often heard in recent months in Rome” that many around Leo “helped him get elected precisely so he might continue the revolution.”
On Leo XIV’s emphasis on unity, Pentin said the pontificate has avoided many “neuralgic issues” by “essentially not talking about them.”
He added that “what is unacceptable among the Church’s leadership is fidelity to the Church’s doctrine and tradition”.
Pentin said some call Leo XIV’s priority a “false peace and false unity,” and cited two anonymous Roman priests warning against unity through silence about error.

US Bishop attends smudging ceremony.
On July 11, the Diocese of Raleigh hosted its first multicultural celebration honoring St. Kateri Tekakwitha - the first North American Indigenous saint - at Holy Cross Church. The gathering included discussions, music, and indigenous dances.
Richard Duran, a member of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe from Arizona, led a smudging ceremony, which the diocese described as sharing cleansing smoke “as an act of prayer and spiritual connection.”
Bishop Luis Rafael Zarama was present and drew laughter when he said he would dance with his heart, not his body, because dancing to music can frustrate him.
Smudging has nothing to do with St. Kateri. She left her indigenous community and moved to the Christian Mohawk community at Kahnawake, where she could freely live her Catholic faith.

The bishop of Raleigh, North Carolina participated over a shamanistic “smudging” ceremony to celebrate St. Catherine “Kateri” Tekakwitha, who rejected her native Mohawk religion. Pascua Taqui tribe member Richard Duran led the congregation of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Durham in a “smudging” ceremony in July. Smudging is a shamanic ritual that involves burning herbs and resins to “cleanse” a space of negative energy.

Martinez said he told Baldacchino during the April 22 meeting that his parish is aware of the music minister’s homosexual relationship and that his position as a music minister has been held “for a long time,” at least 20 years. The pastor, Fr. Pacquing, reportedly told Martinez that the minister does not receive Holy Communion, confirming his awareness of the man’s homosexual lifestyle.
Bishop Baldacchino’s response was to say we must “be merciful,” that they would “investigate and look into it,” and that “we’re all sinners here,” Martinez recalled.

Argentine bishop, a Synod Father, punished after canonical judicial process over allegations of abuse.
Auxiliary Bishop Ricardo Seirutti, 70, of Córdoba, Argentina, has been punished by the Church following a canonical judicial process concerning complaints from two adults over conduct officially described as “improper to his episcopal ministry.”
Monsignor Seirutti also served as vicar general of the Archdiocese of Córdoba.
Pope Francis appointed him auxiliary bishop in 2015. In 2018, he participated as a voting Synod Father in the Synod of Bishops on Young People. He represented the Argentine episcopate.
According to the Archdiocese of Córdoba, complaints from two adults led the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith to order a canonical judicial process before the Interdiocesan Tribunal of Buenos Aires.
The proceedings concluded in recent weeks with sanctions against Bishop Seirutti.
He has been deprived of his offices as auxiliary bishop and vicar general. For five years, he is …ເພີ່ມເຕີ່ມ

Advocate General Laila Medina at the European Court of Justice has issued an opinion in a Belgian case that could have wider implications across the EU for how churches handle requests to erase baptismal records under the GDPR.
She concluded that everyone has “in principle, the right to have his or her personal data erased from the baptismal register where the controller fails to demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override the interests, rights, and freedoms of the data subject.”

WHITE SMOKE 1958 -72- ABDICATION
Third point:
The abdication of the elected pope on October 26, 1958, did indeed take place, which allowed the conclave to continue and elect another pontiff. The certainty of this abdication—which is neither a hypothesis nor a conjecture—is corroborated by another fact that, too, cannot be disputed since it is verifiable.
Indeed, during the election of a Pope, before the elected candidate steps out onto the balcony, three things are absolutely necessary, namely:
- that he accepts,
- that he takes a name,
- and while the white smoke rises toward the sky, that he receives the first homage from all the cardinals.
And only then does he step out for the urbi et orbi blessing.
These three things occurred for John XXIII, which means that all the cardinals paid him homage, including the one elected on October 26, which means that the latter had indeed abdicated.
Everything I have stated in these three points cannot be disputed by anyone. The question remains as …ເພີ່ມເຕີ່ມ

Bishop Corrado Sanguineti of Pavia is the frontrunner to become the next Archpriest of St Peter’s Basilica - succeeding Cardinal Mauro Gambetti.
Writing for IlGiornale.it, Nico Spuntoni says Bishop Sanguineti is now in “pole position” for the post following Gambetti’s departure.
Other names floated in recent weeks include former papal master of ceremonies Archbishop Guido Marini, Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin, and Cardinal Rolandas Makrickas, Archpriest of the Basilica of St Mary Major.
Leo XIV knew Sanguineti before his election to the papacy through Pavia, home to the tomb of St Augustine. The two celebrated a Eucharist together there in February 2024.
Sanguineti was also received by Leo XIV in a private audience at the Vatican in early September.

Dorsey has dropped all other business and is devoting his exclusive attention to the preparation of his answer to the defense's motion for a new trial for Leo M. Frank.
The case is set for argument before Judge L. S. Roan on Saturday, but there is little chance of it being heard then.
The amended motion is a voluminous document containing 115 different counts upon which a new trial is asked, and by devoting all of his time to it, the solicitor will scarcely be able to get his answer in shape in less than two weeks, and it is extremely probable that he will ask a postponement until at …

Monsignor Gilles Wach, founder and prior general of the traditionalist Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest (ICRSP), has been an honorary member of the Rotary Club Firenze Valdisieve for years.
Medias-Presse.info highlights Rotary publications from both 2014 and 2024 describing Monsignor Wach as an honorary member, including on occasions when the club was received at the ICRSP seminary in Gricigliano.
In 1950, the Holy Office issued a decision, approved by Pope Pius XII, forbidding Catholic clergy from joining Rotary Clubs or attending their meetings. Catholic authorities at the time cited concerns including religious indifferentism and Masonic or anticlerical influences.
Medias-Presse.info asks: how does Monsignor Wach reconcile his Rotary affiliation with the tradition his Institute professes to uphold?

Gambetti Steps Down as Archpriest of St. Peter's Basilica After Five Years and Several Controversies

Confirmed: Pope Leo XIV has appointed Cardinal Mauro Gambetti, 60, as Metropolitan Archbishop of Chieti-Vasto.
The move brings Gambetti’s tenure as Archpriest of St Peter’s Basilica, Vicar General for Vatican City and President of the Fabric of St Peter to an end. His successor at the Vatican has not yet been announced.
Cardinal Gambetti's years in the Vatican were marked by repeated controversies, many of which were brought to public attention primarily by SilereNonPossum.com. The investigation was based on documents, photographs, videos and testimony.
Among other issues, SilereNonPossum reported favouritism in personnel appointments - including the hiring of people personally connected to Gambetti. Other scandals included controversial expenditure, costly events and projects, and concerns over the maintenance and management of the Basilica.
Cardinal Gambetti succeeds Archbishop Bruno Forte, whose resignation Pope Leo XIV has accepted.
The transfer comes after months of rumours that …ເພີ່ມເຕີ່ມ
