Leo XIV Takes Time for Punk Grandma: Pope Leo XIV received on Friday punk icon Patti Smith in a private audience at the Vatican. The Chicago-born singer shares the Pope's hometown and has enjoyed a long-standing relationship with the Holy See. Today, Pope Leo XIV issued a new Fundamental Law for Vatican City State, replacing the 2023 constitution and codifying recent governance reforms in a 25-article text. The new law enshrines Francis' reforms in the constitution, notably allowing a non-cardinal — including a woman — to serve as President of the Vatican City State's Pontifical Commission and Governorship. Separation of Vatican City State and the Holy See The Pope remains constitutionally supreme. Article 1 states that he holds the full legislative, executive and judicial authority, meaning there is no separation of powers at the highest level. Article 2 explains that Vatican City State exists to guarantee the independence of the Holy See but is legally distinct from the Roman Curia and the institutions of the Holy See. Although this distinction has long existed in practice, it is now stated more explicitly. The clarification has implications for diplomacy, finances and legal responsibility. Abp. Salvatore Cordileone on whether Pope Francis' restrictions on the Traditional Latin Mass can be sustained in the long run: "To be honest, I don't think it's realistic...this is unstoppable. It's what's drawing young people in..."
The Diocese of Providence in Rhode Island is holding a series of “Listening Sessions” for homosexuals and their friends at four parishes. According to the diocesan website, Bishop Bruce Lewandowski, 59, is presiding at each gathering, which includes the celebration of the Eucharist, small-group sharing, and a community dinner. The diocesan announcement opens with Pope Francis' notorious words, “Todos, Todos, Todos” (“Everyone, Everyone, Everyone”). LepantoIn.org asked the diocese whether confession would be available and whether participants would be invited to repentance and conversion in accordance with Catholic teaching. Instead of answering those questions, the diocesan communications director replied only: “As the diocesan bishop, Bishop Lewandowski has the pastoral responsibility to know and understand the spiritual needs of all the souls entrusted to his care.” Picture: LepantoIn.org, #newsVedmnhuvak
Romans 1:32 Although they are fully cognizant of God’s decree that those who behave in this way deserve to die, they not only do these things themselves but also praise all those who engage in such conduct.
Archbishop José Armando Álvarez Cano, 66, of Morelia, Mexico, recently received the homosexual group Otro Rebaño, reports Oem.com.mx on June 16. The group's coordinator, Erick Ballesteros, is proud about his homosexual sins. Following the meeting with Archbishop Álvarez, the group said it was "filled with hope". It praised the Archbishop's willingness to listen to homosexual ideology and encounter with homosexuals. Monsignor Álvarez has a history of supporting homosexuality. Controversy in 2025 under Previous Archbishop In 2025, when the Archdiocese of Morelia was led by Monsignor Carlos Garfias Merlos, 75, the group Otro Rebaño participated in a homosexual march in Morelia. Then-Archbishop Garfias explained homosexual persons received pastoral care but that they are "sick". During his leadership, the parishes refused to host homosexual services inside churches. At the time, José Armando Álvarez had already arrived as Coadjutor Archbishop. He had been appointed by Pope Francis in January …Kara
Saint Thomas Aquinas commenting on Romans 1 pointed out that $odomit3s are idol@t3rs: «(Rm 6,23): The wages of sin is death. All their idols will be burned in the fire ((Micah 1,7). And it is noteworthy that the Apostle very reasonably assigns to vices against nature, which are very serious among carnal sins, the punishment of idolatry (...) ». In Romans 1:32 St. Paul also points out that homos3xual 4ctivists are $odomit3s themselves
Poland's Constitutional Tribunal has ruled that homosex “marriages” performed abroad cannot be entered into the country's civil registry. Doing so would violate Article 18 of the Polish Constitution, which defines marriage as a union between a man and a woman. The July 28 ruling comes after a series of conflicting legal decisions. In November 2025, the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) held that Poland must recognize homosex marriages performed in other EU member states where necessary to protect EU free movement rights. In March, Poland's Supreme Administrative Court applied that judgment, and the government began preparing regulations to implement it. The Constitutional Tribunal has now reached the opposite conclusion, holding that foreign marriage certificates may only be transcribed if they meet the constitutional definition of marriage. The court said any change would require an amendment to the Constitution and legislation passed by Parliament - not administrative action. …Kara
A Wisconsin pastor has sparked controversy by claiming the Traditional Latin Mass is only for Catholics who have "not grown deep enough in faith" to accept the Novus Ordo Mass. He also discouraged TLM attendees from inviting others, calling it "a step backward" in spiritual life. Critics argue these statements contradict the Church's liturgical tradition and the enduring status of the Traditional Latin Mass. The pastor further claimed SSPX sacramental celebrations are invalid, a position disputed by canon lawyers. The remarks have ignited renewed debate over the place of the Traditional Latin Mass within the Catholic Church.
Fr. Fliss is not some random cleric. He is the PASTOR of Ss. Cyril and Methodius, home of the ICKSP in Wisconsin! According to him, the TLM "does not share equal status and dignity as the Mass of Paul VI" and is "a step backward in [the] faith and spiritual life." Tick tock!
Fr. Fliss, like many "regular" priests who have received horrible formation in modern diocesan seminaries, is in grave error regarding the alleged invalidity of "all their sacramental celebrations", regarding the reasons why the Church dispenses the Sacred Mysteries according to the Usus Antiquior, and regarding the true reasons why Francis issued TC attempting to abrogate in practice the "traditional" Mass in Latin. Any priest who has difficulty reconciling himself to the Mass texts that were followed by all Latin Rite priests for at least 1,500 years would seem to have deep psychological if not other issues.
These are the words of the Lord of hosts: Stand at the crossroads and look around; ask for the ancient paths. When you are shown where the good way lies, walk along it and your souls will find rest. However, they said, “We will not take it.” [Jeremiah 6:16]
Conservative Archbishop Alexander K. Sample of Portland, Oregon attacked in an in-house interview on Youtube.com on July 28 the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX). Main quotes. • "The FSSPX's recent consecration of bishops without a papal mandate takes the situation to a whole new level. They are now the second time bishops have been consecrated." • "They see themselves as the faithful remnant, as though the rest of the Church is wrong and they alone are right. Folks, please don't be in that position." • "I don't attribute any ill will to these folks. They're sincere in wanting to preserve tradition and be faithful Catholics. But they have in fact become something else now, especially in light of these recent consecrations." • "They still mention the Pope in the Eucharistic Prayer, but it's just words. It's not a real communion. They give lip service." Summorum Pontificum Not About FSSPX • "Everybody thinks that Pope Benedict issued Summorum Pontificum... to bring them back …Kara
Benedict himself: he said he issued Summorum Pontificum in order to reconcile the Church with her past." That statement has implications. The Catholic Church has no need what so ever of reconciling herself with her past. If she did she would not be Catholic by definition. If the church is in a state of unreconciliation she is estranged. Pope Benedict knew this. For this reason he issued the Summorum pontificum freeing up the Mass. He gave it three years. Having received feedback on its implementation he issued a set of clarifications and gave it another 3 years. Our Lord has provided us with a parable that appears to describe Benedict’s action. The tree that gave no fruit and the husband man who besought his master not to cut it down until he tried to resuscitate it.

Regarding the Novus Ordo, he claimed that the Church wanted to be "more missionary" - Instead of Protestants returning to the faith, Catholics left. The Novus Ordo has failed miserably. Two questions they should have asked Cardinal Roche: Mark 8:18

Society has a thirst for transcendence, but “the old instruments have already fulfilled their purpose and no longer meet the needs of today's people". This claims Bishop Tomáš Holub, 58, of Plzeň, Czech Republic, in a lengthy article about "Synodality and the Novus Ordo Missae" on 21 July on the blog Come se non, run by the Italian theologian Andrea Grillo. Grillo is an opponent of the Roman rite and is considered an influencer of Traditionis Custodes. According to Bishop Holub, a missionary outlook must be rooted in synodality: "Synodality is not merely a technique of communication, but a way of living the faith... The point is not to hold a synod, but to become a synod." The Czech bishop goes on that the Novus Ordo provides the appropriate expression of the Church's synodal identity: "The Novus Ordo makes it possible for this synodality to be applied in the liturgical sphere. Otherwise, this would be very difficult, since the Vetus Ordo is the expression of a Tridentine vision of the …Kara
Massimo @Rainmaker1973 In 1962, Brendon Grimshaw purchased Moyenne Island in the Seychelles for roughly $11,000. At the time, the small island was completely barren and uninhabited. Over the following decades, Grimshaw dedicated his life to restoring its ecosystem. He personally planted more than 16,000 trees, created walking trails, and reintroduced endangered species — most notably giant Aldabra tortoises — transforming the once-desolate island into a lush, thriving nature sanctuary. Despite numerous offers from wealthy developers eager to turn the island into a luxury resort, Grimshaw consistently refused. He famously rejected a $50 million bid, determined to keep Moyenne Island as a protected natural haven open for people to enjoy rather than a private commercial venture. In 2009, his vision was permanently secured when Moyenne Island was incorporated into the Sainte Anne Marine National Park, becoming the smallest national park in the world. Grimshaw lived on the island until his …Kara
