Leo XIV "did not want to get involved in French politics". Tonight, on the return flight from Metz to Rome, Pope Leo XIV was asked whether his remarks on euthanasia had crossed the boundary between religion and politics. Leo XIV replied: “I have not crossed that boundary.” When the Church speaks “in defense of life,” it is “not doing politics, but applying the Gospel to people’s lives.” And: “If this is doing politics, I did it; but I certainly did not intend to meddle in French politics. A 2026 study found an interesting link between siblings and teen mental health. Researchers looked at data from 16,725 teenagers in rural China from 2010 to 2022. Teens with more siblings were less likely to show signs of depression, with an even stronger effect among younger teens.
