Dutch Bishop Mutsaerts discussed Pope Leo XIV’s responsibility for denying traditional Catholics entry into St. Peter’s Basilica (Remnant Interview): "Well, ultimately, he is responsible. As a pope, you have that power. You're responsible. Whatever the opposition in the Curia might be, you're responsible." When asked how long Catholics should give Pope Leo XIV the benefit of the doubt, Bishop Mutsaerts said: "Yes, I was very hopeful at first. But I'm starting to doubt. Maybe it's not right to do that. But I hope things will turn out for the best."

The organisers of the annual pilgrimage Summorum Pontificum ‘Cœtus Internationalis Summorum Pontificum’ published an October 27 statement about the Vatican’s rejection to enter St Peter’S basilica.
