Ireland's curse afflicts the entire west

Back in 1970-71, there was a push in Ireland for the use contraception to control and regulate birth. The Archbishop of Ireland John Charles McQuaid condemned the idea and reminded the faithful that this was against the moral law and Church teaching. He released a pastoral letter on "Contraception and Conscience." The message was in support of Pope Paul VI's 1968 encyclical Humanae Vitae On the Regulation of Human Births. Ireland has, like most western nations, approved contraception but divorce, abortion and lastly there is a plan to legalize euthanasia. The culture of death has replaced the culture of life and love. And as the birth rate decreased Ireland's population has changed through immigration which has caused its own issues. It's worth noting the grim warning in the last sentence of the Archbishop McQuaid's message about the use of contraception: "Such a measure would be an insult to our Faith; it would, without question, prove to be gravely damaging to morality, private and …
