Sirijos katalikų patriarchas Ignatius Youssef III Younan apkaltino Kurijos kardinolą Claudio Gugerotti, Rytų Bažnyčių dikasterijos prefektą, padėjus organizuoti pastangas jį nušalinti.
Younan portalui „The Pillar“, skelbiančiam „Substack.com“ paskyroje, sakė, kad Gugerotti ragino vyskupus nusisukti nuo jo. Jis taip pat teigia, kad Gugerotti padėjo parengti naują popiežiaus įstatymą, kuris dabar naudojamas prieš jį.

Rugsėjo 24 d. Jaroslawo mieste, Lenkijoje, benediktinų abatijoje per peilio užpuolimą buvo nužudytas kunigas, o keturi žmonės sužeisti. Policijos teigimu, 31 metų Ukrainos pilietis šiek tiek prieš 9:30 val. užpuolė keturis vyrus ir moterį ir buvo sulaikytas įvykio vietoje.
Kunigas Stanislavas mirė nuo patirtų sužalojimų. Kunigas Marekas buvo sunkiai sužeistas. Kitos aukos taip pat buvo paguldytos į ligoninę. Motyvas kol kas nenustatytas.

Dziś rano, na terenie Opactwa Sióstr Benedyktynek w Jarosławiu doszło do ataku nożownika (31-letniego obywatela Ukrainy) na grupę osób, które prawdopodobnie zgromadziły się na poranne nabożeństwo.

Do morderstwa doszło po godzinie 9:00. Natomiast o 10:00 miała rozpocząć się Msza Święta.
Sprawca został ujęty.
Świadkami była m.in. młodzież, która chwilę wcześniej zwiedzała Opactwo, które jest otwarte.

Patriarch accuses Curia Cardinal.
Syriac Catholic Patriarch Ignatius Youssef III Younan has accused Curia Cardinal Claudio Gugerotti, prefect of the Dicastery for the Eastern Churches, of helping orchestrate an effort to remove him.
Younan told the Substack.com-account 'The Pillar' that Gugerotti encouraged bishops to turn against him. He also alleges that Gugerotti helped develop the new papal law now being used against him.
Younan, 81, has led the Syriac Catholic Church since 2009. He is the first Eastern Catholic patriarch to face proceedings under Pope Leo XIV’s 'Mutua concordia', promulgated on August 29.
The process against him was reportedly initiated on September 4 - just six days later.
Under the new law, a synod may request a patriarch’s resignation for a grave cause. If he refuses, proceedings can continue under another bishop’s presidency. Removal requires a two-thirds secret vote, the patriarch must be allowed to defend himself, and the decision requires papal assent.

There was always a deep underlying dissatisfaction with Soviet occupation of Europe, but students always knew they would be arrested by the Stazi if they really got organized. All student organizations were infiltrated by the secret police, just as they were in Russia. So, I presume those spies suddenly began to encourage students to organize and protest. They knew the Stazi were told to stand down and would not arrest students. That’s the only way the “spontaneous” uprising could have begun in a repressive state.

Vyro šokėjo laidotuvės virsta komedijos spektakliu.
Birželio 24 d. Italijos Kaldogno katalikų bažnyčioje vyko 74 metų šokėjo, choreografo ir socialinio darbuotojo Thierry Parmentier laidotuvės. Jis pats suplanavo šį renginį, įskaitant muziką, choreografiją ir pasirodymus.
Belgijoje gimęs T. Parmentier daugiau nei 40 metų gyveno Vicenzos regione ir rengė spektaklius, siekdamas surinkti lėšų AIDS tyrimams.

Cardinal McElroy hails Leo XIV’s shift from “unfortunate” Catechism teaching.
Cardinal Robert McElroy of Washington, writing at NcROnline.org on September 23, said that “during the past six months, we have witnessed a remarkable transformation in Catholic teaching on war.”
McElroy praised the “tremendous progress” made during that period toward “eclipsing the role of the just war tradition in Catholic teaching.”
“The just war framework has been distorted to become a source of justification for those inclined to go to war, rather than a constraint on war,” McElroy claimed.
Then this: “One of the accelerants for this trend is the unfortunate statement in the Catechism of the Catholic Church that the evaluation of the just war criteria belongs to those who have responsibility for the common good.”
The cardinal's statement comes in the wake of Leo XIV’s encyclical 'Magnifica Humanitas'. In §192, Leo XIV writes that just-war theory “is now outdated.”
