Cardinal George Jacob Koovakad, Prefect of the Dicastery for interreligious dialogue, visited the BAPS Hindu temple in London on 19 October, receiving a ceremonial welcome from Hindu religious leaders. He received a flower garland and toured the temple’s "sacred" spaces. Cardinal Koovakad also participated in the traditional Indian lamp-lighting ceremony, commonly called Deep Prajwalan. The ritual is performed at Hindu religious and cultural events. The gathering concluded with meditation and prayer [to whom?].
