refer to St Thomas Aquinas on immigration...according to the Saint, one requirement is that the immigrant not change the existing culture. Certain basic beliefs must be the same. Prior immigrants from Italy, Poland, France, etc were from countries/cultures that understood Christendom (granted, often honored in the breach)

31.12.2025 SEDEVACANTIST BISHOPS SANBORN AND PIVARUNAS HAVE TO CLOSE SHOP : THE COUNCIL AND CATECHISM ARE TRADITIONAL The sedevacantists Bishop Mark Pivarunas and the CMRI , Bishop Donald Sanborn and the late Fr. Anthony Cekada at the MHT seminary and Peter and Michael Dimond at the Most Holy Family Monastery, New York, USA interpret Vatican Council II irrationally. For them Lumen Gentium 8 etc is a break with Tradition. So they correctly reject the conclusion of Vatican Council ( irrational), while using the false premise ( LG ,8,14, 16 etc are visible cases they are known in particular people in the present times ) to interpret Lumen Gentium 8 etc. On the website of the CMRI there is a list of baptism of desire cases. All are interpreted as being visible exceptions for the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus (EENS) . But this is false. In reality the baptism of desire cases are always invisible for us human beings. Bishop Pivarunas and the CMRI continue with the error even after …Күберәк
It's this color-coded "read in between the lines" method that many call the "Vatican II step": state something [seemingly] out of line with tradition, then counter it with something orthodox. People then read & take to heart the part they want and ignore the other {pick & choose = actual meaning of the term heresy]. This is why someone like Mother Angelica or Bishop Fulton Sheen were in favor of the Council documents "if read in the light of tradition." It's also why the modernists assert that the "new Springtime of the Church began in 1965 - like Francis & crew. Benedict XVI tried to fix it with his hermeneutic of continuity. It's a mess.
End, Don’t Mend, Traditionis Custodes: Guest Essay by Kevin Tierney We are very grateful to Mr Kevin Tierney for sharing with NLM this insightful essay on the failure of Traditionis Custodes, which I am sure our readers will find especially interesting in light of the upcoming extraordinary consistory. You can find more of his excellent writing on his Substack; He is also on Twitter at https://x.com/CatholicSmark When the cardinals gather in Rome in January at the invitation of Pope Leo XIV, they will discuss, among other things, the sacred liturgy. While not explicitly named, everyone understands that, in this conversation, some of them will raise the topic of Traditionis custodes. To speculate, the ensuing discussion will likely center on how to preserve it while eliminating its worst aspects, such as the rescript that revoked the bishops’ right to regulate the liturgy in their dioceses. I think instead that the cardinals should discuss not how to mend Traditionis custodes, but …
A village of 150 people in Corsica has raised €1.1 million to help restore the Caccia convent in Castifao, Haute-Corse. The 16 century site has been closed to the public since 2021 due to serious disrepair. The state's contribution was relatively small. The restoration will be funded by the Collectivité de Corse (80%), the French state (10%), and donations from residents, nearby communities, and private donors. Mayor François Orsini led the project with support from the Fondation du Patrimoine and the Castifau et Moltifau association. Restoration work is expected to begin in early 2026, with the aim of reopening the site to the public.

Catholic Oratory Inaugurated in Argentine Senate: The Argentine Senate inaugurated a Catholic oratory within its institutional headquarters, dedicated to Saint María Antonia de Paz y Figueroa, also known as “Mamá Antula.” The ceremony was presided over by Vice President and Senate President Victoria Villarruel and attended by civil and ecclesiastical authorities, including the Apostolic Nuncio to Argentina, Archbishop Mirosław Adamczyk, and the Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Buenos Aires, Father Pedro Cannavó, along with senior Senate officials. Villarruel said the oratory — a space for prayer and reflection — will progressively incorporate Marian devotions from different Argentine provinces, such as Our Lady of Itatí, Our Lady of the Valley of Catamarca, and Our Lady of Luján, reflecting the federal character of the Senate.
