The Catholic Women's Community of Germany (kfd) has called for abortions to be permitted in Catholic hospitals, adopting the position at its federal assembly in Mainz last weekend. The document states that "pregnancy terminations must also be possible in Catholic hospitals," claiming that the current lack of access endangers the physical and mental health of mothers with unintended pregnancies.
