They shouted “Woo!” and “Woo-hoo!” He responded with a broad smile (wait the whole minute for it). Such applause is routine for Leo XIV. Vatican blocks traditional Catholics from entering St. Peter’s basilica – Mass with Bishop Schneider downgraded. Today, 1,000 Catholics participated in the annual Summorum Pontificum pilgrimage. Vatican security stopped the pilgrims near the obelisk in St. Peter’s Square, preventing them from proceeding to the basilica. Vatican authorities also prohibited the planned Pontifical Mass at the main altar of St. Mary Major.
