Exposed Naked Christ in Austrian Church: Rev. Hans-Peter Premur, parish priest of Krumpendorf in the Diocese of Gurk-Klagenfurt, Austria, has installed a large baby figure inside his church. The installation is titled “One Child, One Planet, One Chance.” The figure measures approximately 2.5 meters in length, with a head diameter of about 1 meter. It is unclothed and displays visible genitalia. Outside the church entrance, a sign describes the parish as “accepting and open,” accompanied by a rainbow symbol. Some local Catholics have criticized the installation, calling the figure a “monster” and describing the project as an example of “megalomania.” The Bishop of the Diocese of Gurk-Klagenfurt is Monsignor Josef Marketz.

Catholic Oratory Inaugurated in Argentine Senate: The Argentine Senate inaugurated a Catholic oratory within its institutional headquarters, dedicated to Saint María Antonia de Paz y Figueroa, also known as “Mamá Antula.” The ceremony was presided over by Vice President and Senate President Victoria Villarruel and attended by civil and ecclesiastical authorities, including the Apostolic Nuncio to Argentina, Archbishop Mirosław Adamczyk, and the Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Buenos Aires, Father Pedro Cannavó, along with senior Senate officials. Villarruel said the oratory — a space for prayer and reflection — will progressively incorporate Marian devotions from different Argentine provinces, such as Our Lady of Itatí, Our Lady of the Valley of Catamarca, and Our Lady of Luján, reflecting the federal character of the Senate. A village of 150 people in Corsica has raised €1.1 million to help restore the Caccia convent in Castifao, Haute-Corse. The 16 century site has been closed to the public since 2021 due to serious disrepair. The state's contribution was relatively small. The restoration will be funded by the Collectivité de Corse (80%), the French state (10%), and donations from residents, nearby communities, and private donors. Mayor François Orsini led the project with support from the Fondation du Patrimoine and the Castifau et Moltifau association. Restoration work is expected to begin in early 2026, with the aim of reopening the site to the public.
