01:48Ursula von der Leyen says RUSSIA IS USING MASS MIGRATION as a weapon against EUROPE The EU chief accuses Russia of deliberately pushing migrants toward European borders to overwhelm authorities, spread fear and divide the continent. She now wants new emergency powers to deal with these situations. Brussels has SPENT YEARS defending migration and asylum as part of Europe's values.
How is Russia forcing Africans and Middle Eastern peoples into Europe? She must only dislike the Ukrainians.
00:28Denver’s newly appointed Archbishop Jim Golka was seen praying over Donald Trump in the Oval Office.
Other Catholic bishops visible in the photo included Edward Burns of Dallas, Scott Bullock of Rapid City, and Joseph Naumann of Kansas, a longtime supporter of Trump and the MAGA movement.
Riiiiight, The USCCB is all with the Trump agenda.
“To every American, and to everyone watching France burn from abroad:
Do not blame the French people for this.
We never asked for it. We never voted for it. And the one time we were clearly asked, we said no.
Here are the numbers your media won't show you.
70% of the French say there are too many immigrants in France today.
79% want a tougher immigration policy.
77% disapprove of the government's record on immigration.
83% want foreign criminals and long-term unemployed foreigners sent home.
And no, it's not just the old. 69% of French 18 to 24 year olds support suspending legal immigration for three years.
This is not a fringe. This is the French people.
In 2005, we were asked if we wanted the European Constitution. 55% voted no. Three years later, our politicians passed the same text under another name, through parliament, without ever asking us again.
That is modern France in one sentence. The people say no. The elites do it anyway.
So who is responsible? The politicians who lied to …
I hope those numbers are reflected in the next election. Better yet, throw off the Republic and install a (Real) Catholic Monarch.
00:52Macron says that foreign leaders who are running electoral campaigns on France’s expense by sharing false information about the riots in France. Macron says that some are spreading the false image of France being overrun by immigrants and Islamists.
Baghdad Bob meet Paris Manny, nothing to see here, move along.
Regardez ce que le président français Emmanuel Macron a offert au pape Léon XIV.
It looks like a toilet seat warmer.
Leo XIV-appointed Missio President doubles down: Women called to priesthood.
Pope Leo XIV appointed Irish Sister Mary Teresa Barron on October 8, as president of the Pontifical Mission Societies (Missio) and adjunct secretary of the Vatican's Dicastery for Evangelization.
On October 19, she told EWTNNews.com: “Who am I to say whether the door is open or closed to women priests?”
“Women today may hear the call to priesthood,” she said. “So for me, itʼs how do we within Church facilitate that discernment?”
Sister Barron wants the Church to accompany women who feel "called to the priesthood", “What do we do as a Church to accompany that discernment to see if, yes, this is what the Spirit is calling the entire Church to or not at this point?” she asked.
Barron cited the October 2024 Synod on Synodality's final document: “What comes from the Holy Spirit cannot be stopped.”
“So I think even though … there have been moments where we’ve been told we canʼt talk about this at all, itʼs over … it …
Too many ambitious women unsuited for marriage running around in the sin nodding church. In better times she’d be a char woman quietly going about her days work.
01:40An interesting exchange here between William F. Buckley Jr. and Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen from 1970, where the good Bishop’s answers sound incredibly contemporary and not entirely satisfactory. Almost as if the Church has been in stasis for 50 years.
One cannot promote VII without bashing almost 2000 years of Catholicism that preceded it. Sheen does it in this interview.
No Mass in St. Peter’s: Roman Rite Pilgrimage Moves to St. Mary Major
The final programme for the annual Rome pilgrimage of the Traditional Roman Rite (23–25 October) has been announced.
However, there is a notable change this year: the pilgrims will enter St Peter's Basilica at 1 p.m. to pray, but there will be no Mass.
Instead, pilgrims will travel to the Basilica of St Mary Major, where Bishop Athanasius Schneider will celebrate Mass at 3 p.m.
On Friday evening, Bishop Schneider will preside over Pontifical Vespers at the Pantheon.
Unlike in previous years, no cardinal is scheduled to celebrate the principal liturgies.
On Sunday, the traditional Feast of Christ the King, Masses will be held at San Giovanni Battista dei Fiorentini, Santissima Trinità dei Pellegrini and Sant’Anna al Laterano.
The organisers have expressed their gratitude to Cardinal Rolandas Makrickas, Archpriest of St Mary Major, for welcoming the pilgrims.

Considering St. Peter’s has never been properly reconsecrated it is a good thing. Isn’t Bergoglio interred at St. Mary Major?
