Edmund Waldstein wird laut einem Medienbericht vorerst nicht an der Philosophisch-Theologischen Hochschule Benedikt XVI. Heiligenkreuz in die Lehre zurückkehren. Unter den gegebenen Umständen werde der Ordensmann während seiner Amtszeit keine Lehrveranstaltungen an der Hochschule mehr halten, sagte der Heiligenkreuzer Rektor Wolfgang Klausnitzer am Freitag dem katholischen Internetportal "Kirche+Leben". Der derzeit beurlaubte Zisterzienser Waldstein unterrichtete an der zum Stift Heiligenkreuz gehörenden Hochschule in Österreich zuletzt Moraltheologie.
Waldstein hatte in seinem Blog "Sancrucensis" die Todesstrafe für Häretiker gefordert, also für Menschen, die von der offiziellen Glaubenslehre abweichen. In der darauf folgenden Debatte hatte der Rektor eine wissenschaftliche Darlegung von Waldstein gefordert. Pagliarani Blocked Fellay's 2018 Deal: "Rome Has to Acknowledge Its Errors"
The Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX) rejected a Doctrinal Declaration proposed by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF), which would have been followed by the granting of a canonical status, Monsignor Guido Pozzo told LaNuovaBq.it on July 7.
A meeting took place on 28 February 2018 at the Congregation between Cardinal Luis Ladaria, then Prefect, Monsignor Guido Pozzo, and Bishop Bernard Fellay.
Bishop Fellay said he would submit the Declaration to the FSSPX General Chapter, scheduled for July 2018. At that Chapter, on 11 July 2018, Father Davide Pagliarani was elected Superior General.
In the autumn of 2018, Cardinal Ladaria and Monsignor Pozzo met with Father Pagliarani.

Cardinal Müller at Consistory: "We Must Respond to the Lefebvrists"
Cardinal Gerhard Müller spoke at the June 26 consistory about the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX), IlGiornale.it reports.
He addressed the FSSPX's allegations that the Vatican has deviated from the Church's magisterium. Cardinal Müller proposed preparing a response to the Fraternity that would affirm that Rome has never abandoned the path of Catholicism, contrary to their claims.
He also said that, following Wednesday's episcopal consecrations, many Lefebvrists would seek to enter into full canonical communion with the Church.
The Vatican should prepare to welcome them back by proposing a structure modelled on the Pontifical Commission Ecclesia Dei, which was established by Pope John Paul II in 1988.
Cardinal Müller's intervention was received without comment during the session.

Not only that, but they dishonestly imply the SSPX's concerns are all about the liturgy. (Their concerns, in fact, are principally about the perennial dogma of the Church, which the establishment unhappily departed from.) Then the faculty quotes Vatican II at the SSPX and all of us. How boneheaded can you be in such a statement? Why say anything at all?

Carmelite community of Campiègne martyrs to close
The six remaining cloistered Carmelite nuns in Jonquières, France, are closing their historic community, ending a 400-year legacy of prayer ... and martyrdom.
It's a sad consequence of the lack of religious vocations. Bishop Jacques Benoit-Gonnin of Beauvais, Noyon, and Senlis (France) announced on April 21 the closure of the Compiègne Carmelite community, located some six miles from the original site, in Jonquières, since 1992.
"As age advances, numbers decrease, vocations are slow in coming, and external reinforcements are impossible to find, our Carmelite Sisters of Compiègne have decided to close their community," the bishop explained. Six nuns currently remain at the monastery. They will leave gradually over the coming months.

Vatican.va that contains an archive of speeches of recent popes, altered the prayer delivered by Pope John Paul II in March 2000 in Wadi al-Kharrar, Jordan, in all languages.
John Paul II concluded the prayer with the following words: "May Saint John the Baptist protect Islam."
Unsurprisingly, this caused a huge scandal at the time.
Archive.org has saved screenshots of the relevant files in different languages up to 10 February 2026.
The new, fabricated version on Vatican.va, which John Paul II never uttered, reads: "May Saint John the Baptist protect this land."

Cardinal Müller's Hard Line Against FSSPX and German Synodal Path
“There have been endless dialogues with the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X, but they simply circle around,” Cardinal Gerhard Ludwig Müller told TheCatholicHerald.com on December 12.
“There is no way around recognising the Second Vatican Council as the twenty-first Ecumenical Council of the Catholic Church.”
He added: “The claim that the Lefebvrists are the last bastion of true Catholicity must finally come to an end.”

Bishop Schneider Explains Why the Traditional Latin Mass Is Rare in Kazakhstan
Bishop Schneider promotes and celebrates the Mass in the Roman Rite, yet it is rarely celeberated in Kazakhstan, he told Adrian Milag in an online interview. Main points, video sequence below.

• 50% of U.S. Catholic adults in the 2025 survey say they pray daily.
• 28% say they go to the Eucharist weekly (14,560,000).
• 23% say they go to confession at least once a year.

On the Mass in the Roman rite: The survey described it as a Mass where “the entire Mass is said in Latin and where the priest faces the altar with his back to the people in the pews.”

Even if Pew is understating the numbers, these percentages refute the constant claims of the Catholic establishment that those who attend the Roman Rite, that is, the TLM, are "miniscule."

Leo is making a reasonable statement. Catholics in the United States, for example, listen to Catholic radio stations on the AM dial while in their cars, even to this day. Catholic Answers Live, before it became anti-tradition by warning against 'rad-trads', was a valuable source of Catholic doctrinal education and apologetics, vis-a-vis Protestantism, for Americans listening on the AM dial. This is just the American experience, but good old fashion radio transmissions continue to be of value for the rest of the world on the go.
