Vance "Wouldn’t Be Shocked" If Antichrist Walked Among Us

“What I’m trying to focus on is doing as much of God’s work as possible right now. And if that leads to the end times, so be it,” U.S. Vice President JD Vance said - assigning himself a rather grand role in God’s plans - in an interview with evangelical Bryce Crawford, published on August 31.

Vance added: “There are, like, things about the world that make me feel, like, not shocked if the Antichrist was walking among us, but, again, I try not to focus too much on it.”

“The end times may be coming - in fact, they are coming. It’s just a question of whether they’re coming thousands of years down the road or a few months down the road.”

Vance also said some developments involving AI companies made him feel there was “some really, really weird spiritual dark energy.”

Vance Defends Trump’s Mockery of Christ

Later in the same interview, Crawford confronted Vance about an AI-generated image Trump had posted in April depicting himself in Christ-like robes.

Vance defended Trump: “Did Donald Trump mean to post a meme of himself as God? No.”

He insisted that Trump “did not mean to, like, mock or mimic God. That’s just not who he is,” describing the president as someone who likes to joke and “just likes to have a good time.”
