Too Many Scandals or Only Too Catholic? Polish Bishop Resigns At 59

Francis has accepted the resignation of Sosnowiec Bishop Grzegorz Kaszak, 59, Poland, who was appointed in 2009. Katowice Archbishop Galbas became the Apostolic Administrator.

Kaszak has faced several scandals in his diocese. In August, a homosex orgie of Father Tomasz Z. ended in a medical emergency of a male prostitute losing consciousness.

On March 7, Fr Robert Szulczewski, 46, threw himself under a train after Deacon Mateusz Błaut, 25, was found dead with 13 stab wounds. Both had worked at Sosnowiec Cathedral and had fallen out with each other.

In 2013, the Vatican closed the Sosnowiec diocesan seminary in Krakow and moved it to Częstochowa after a video emerged showing Father Mariusz T., the seminary's rector, engaging in homosex activity in a Krakow homosex club in 2010.

Kaszak has the reputation of being a [neo-conservative] Catholic. He was close to John Paul II and Benedict XVI and professed the truth about abortion, euthanasia, homosexual sin, and gender ideology.

Unanswered Questions & Things You May Not Know' I've always maintained that if Sr Faustina hadn't been Polish, this devotion would have languished in the depths of the CDF forbidden devotion archive. You only have to look at what has happened in England. We have a large amount of Polish immigrants. There are many separatist Polish Masses/churches. Most, if not all, of the major shrines in England now have included 'Divine Mercy' shrines within their boundaries, obscuring or distracting from the original purpose of the shrine.

I was saved from the depths through the Divine Mercy . You can say all what you want . There are millions of us with the same story .

@Alejandrina Reyes We've all been saved by Divine Mercy. My point is that no one has any obligation to believe or practise this specific devotion as given through Sr Faustina, and after reading MM Anthony's books, I have grave doubts about it - not about Divine Mercy as such, just this particular form of the devotion.
