Francis Claims: Church "Seriously Violated" the "Right to Life" Until He "Changed" Catechism

The death penalty is a "serious violation" of the "right to life" of every person, Pope Francis claims in a February 27 video message to a Brussels world congress against death penalty.
He gives no arguments for his confused theory. Instead he claims that he "modified" the Catechism because the "Church’s vision" of the death penalty has "matured".
Francis admits that the death penalty was considered "for a long time" an adequate response to the gravity of crimes and to safeguard the common good.
He asserts that abolishing the death penalty worldwide represents a "courage affirmation" of "human dignity” that is not lost even after committing the worst crimes.
But this is not the point. Not even a pope can categorically condemn death penalty which in principle can exist as a legitimate means of self-defense or deterrence.

A question for Francis and all fellow Catholics who support his stand against capital punishment. Have you ever thought that without capital punishment we would have no Christianity??? Go and figure!

I am strongly against using the death penalty. But to say that it is in every case a serious violation of the right to life is nonsense. I am with Pope Francis when he dissuades governments from applying the death penalty but by doing it in such a sloppy and intellectually lousy way, he may well achieve the opposite.

This public heresy holds God, the prophets, Popes and Saints to be in error. Wickedness.
De Profundis
Pope Francis seems to have found the teaching of intrinsically evil acts. But: Death penalty is not among them. (Adultery is-)

An error for two thousand years?

The devil must be very proud of his Pope Francis who is executing Vatican II in the way it was intended by the heretical theologians who designed it by substituted heteropraxy for orthodoxy.

Imagine you are a sniper on a rooftop, and you are pointing your scope at an aggressor holding one entire school class hostage inside a school building. Imagine you are a sniper on a rooftop, and you are pointing your scope at an aggressor holding one entire school class hostage inside a school building. The aggressor had just killed two kids with a gun. The aggressor threatens to kill one kid every minute, if the authorities do not comply with his demands After one minute he kills another kid, and he is pointing his gun at the next. So according to the catechism, you, the sniper on the roof should not kill the aggressor, because there is a possibility that at any moment he is going to repent and turn himself in. And you by ending this tragedy, killing the aggressor, would remove the opportunity of that aggressor to repent.
These are the facts:

If the sniper, remember we imagined that is you, kills the aggressor he is guilty of killing, and if he doesn't kill the aggressor he is guilty of killing kids.
Is there no way out for you? Are you unfortunately in the wrong position at the wrong time?
Will Jesus make you burn for sentencing the aggressor to death in this case?
mystic
Defense it would be if the aggressor would be pointing the gun at the sniper. So the sniper before pulling the trigger is a judge, and after shooting he took the guilt of the sixth commandment upon himself and will not be found innocent before God.

What does changing the Catechism do? He hasn't changed official teaching by doing that has he? Isn't it just like a reference book?

Teaches them garbage and leads them into error. He can't change doctrine. No one can.
Prayhard
His Jesuit doctrine chief Ladaria or another used clever words which avoid explicitly changing doctrine. Said it was unsuited to these times, or words to that effect.

"Garbage in Garbage out"

No! Francis teaches error. He has not modified the catechism since he does not have the authority to overthrow Catholic moral principles.

Consequence of heresy is cognitive error which leads to distorted thoughts of reality. Heresies were present and will be. However (post)-modern exceptional phenomena is that remaining Catholic Hierarchs/ Princes do not want to resist and condemn. (i.e. Heresies Index). Admonish the sinner through spiritual work of mercy with gentlness, kindness and consequence.
