@All Saints: Dale Fushek was recently notified of his dismissal from the clerical state, a process most often referred to as “laicization.” The Vatican’s Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith had been investigating the former pastor of St. Timothy Parish in Mesa and one-time vicar general for the diocese for his alleged sexual abuse of minors. The Vatican’s findings in that investigation resulted in his removal from the priesthood.

This means Fushek is no longer bound to the duties and obligations he incurred upon ordination to the priesthood in 1978, and he no longer has the rights of a cleric under Church law. As a result, Fushek can no longer refer to himself as “reverend,” “monsignor” and “father.”

Bishop Thomas J. Olmsted received the “Decree of Dismissal” in January from the Vatican congregation, notifying him that the laicization had been imposed on Fushek as a penalty for acts of sexual abuse of minors.

It is true that priests bear an indelible mark on their souls for all eternity which will make their eternity either more torturous or glorious. But defrocked priests are not permitted to use the title of Father which is why his judge called MacRae Mr.

Maybe he could get a job posting on Gloria.tv as has the ex-priest Gordon MacRae who brazenly still publishes using the title Father.

In 1994 MacRae was convicted of one count of felonious sexual asssault and four counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault. These are the words of the judge who sentenced him:

" I conclude that you, Mr. MacRae, remain an extremely dangerous and high risk sexual offender. The compulsiveness and repetitiveness of your sexual
assault against young boys, documented from 1979 to 1988, the selection and grooming of vulnerable boys and families, the deceitful use of both the authority of a Catholic priest and the corresponding spiritual power that the religion represents, the evidence of your solicitation and prostitution of young men for the gratification of yourself and others of your ilk, the evidence of child pornography and multiple victims, your complete lack of remorse, your aggressive denial of wrongdoing, your merciless attack on the character of the victims who confronted you, the ruthless application of your intelligence, education and experience as a counselor to undermine these children and their families and your total lack of compassion for your victims and the friends you continued to mislead, I considered all of these things in deciding your sentence for the attacks on [JohnDoe XVI]. And I find that the prospects for your rehabilitation are very poor. There is no credible evidence that you have responded to the treatment that you have received.

Throughout these proceedings, I have listened to your witnesses and I have watched you closely. I detect nothing in you at this time that gives me a reasonable basis for releasing you into the community ever. I hope that in theyears to come effective treatment will be developed and that you will embrace it. Perhaps you will someday understand the depth and damage of your acts and perhaps we will someday develop the technology to allow you to be released into society and at the same time ensure the safety of the children and families that you prey upon. But I am not persuaded that we have the knowledge or technology today and I will not put this communities' children at risk for your benefit. "

If you could find true information related to Mr MacRae's disgusting and despicable behavior surrounding his conviction 39 years ago, I doubt you would have him writing on your site. But it is almost impossible to wade through the literally thousands of entries written by Mr MacRae which completely exonerate him and possibly set him up for future canonization.
