Jo Lomas formally takes up post as UK Ambassador to Estonia

The British diplomat presented her credentials to President Alar Karis at Kadriorg, completing the handover at the head of the UK mission in Tallinn as London maintains a leading role in our country’s security.
Tallinn – The United Kingdom has completed the changeover at the head of its diplomatic mission in Estonia. Her Excellency Jo Lomas, appointed in January as His Majesty’s new Ambassador to Tallinn, presented her credentials to President Alar Karis on 11 August, formally completing her accreditation as head of mission in Estonia.

Her appointment was announced by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office at the beginning of the year, when London confirmed that Lomas would succeed Ross Allen, who was moving on to another role within the British diplomatic service.
