ST. JOSEPH'S INTERCESSION FOR THE FAITHFUL DEPARTED.
St. Francis de Sales says: ** We do not often enough remember our dead, our faithful departed."
Thus the Church, Uke a good »"mother, recalls to us the thought of the dead when we have forgotten them, and therefore she consecrates the month of November to the memory of the dead. This pious and salutary practice of praying for an entire month for the dead takes its rise from the earliest ages of the Church. The custom of mourning thirty days for the dead existed amongst the Jews. The practice of saying thirty Masses on thirty consecutive days was established by St. Gregory, and Innocent XI enriched it with indulgences. " God has made known to me," says the venerable sister Marie Denise dc Martignat, " that a devotion to the death of St. Joseph obtains many …More

This is also a reminder that the OT patriarchs had to wait for Jesus to pass into Heaven as He had to "open the gates" for them also.

" that a devotion to the death of St. Joseph obtains many graces for those who are agonizing, and that, as St. Joseph did not at once pass into heaven—because Jesus Christ had not opened its gates—but descended into Limbo, it is a most useful devotion for the agonizing, and for the souls in Purgatory, to offer to God the resignation of St. Joseph when he was dying and about to leave Jesus and Mary in this world, and to honor the holy patience of this great Saint waiting calmly in Limbo until Easter-day, when Jesus Christ, risen and glorious, released him."

Spanish Bishops Divided over Immigrants in Ceuta: Archbishop Luis Argüello of Valladolid, president of the Spanish bishops’ conference, called the surge “an invasion,” contrasting with the local diocese’s humanitarian response. Argüello said the influx was part of a broader political strategy, arguing that migrants were being used in struggles for “money and power” and that “demographics are a weapon.”

The Self-Destroyers

– Folha de S. Paulo, May 28, 1984 –
by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira
I’m not sure how to condense the lively wealth of material I promised for today into the hundred lines allowed by my article’s strict limit. “Making do” is the classic form of Brazilian savoir-faire. Let’s see if I can do it this time.
Regarding the future Civil Code, which threatens to be hastily imposed on our defenseless Brazil like a straitjacket, I have expressed my concern that it will become an instrument of self-destruction for the social classes currently in power.
There are many reasons to fear that, under its rule, Brazilian society will become considerably more distant from old Christian standards and much more aligned with communist standards. In other words, those among the bourgeoisie who control public affairs will have led us through a critical stage of the already short path remaining before we reach complete communization.
The self‑destruction of ruling classes is a phenomenon of paramount importance, …More

Lying as we loose.

Fr Marek Balawendar gives a reflection on how the Incarnation became the Cross at the Annunciation, though came instant by the communication of God’s message to Mary by Angel Gabriel. Not by power or force rather by humility and love The "Stable" (Wood) where the Magi saw the Baby Jesus points to the Wooden Cross at Calvary where Jesus was Crucified. The ’’FIAT’’ of Mary at Annunciation includes suffering which she did not know until revealed by Simeon’s prophecy and manifested at Calvary. The Annunciation is the fulfilment of the Cross At the Annunciation Mary gives Flesh to Jesus which in turn gives humanity Salvation on the Cross. The Cross helps us to say yes, to understand others, ourselves, etc The Cross and Annunciation teach us hope. The cross is not the end, after the cross comes Resurrection. Uniting our doubts, sufferings and worries with Christ, we begin to trust It is difficult to find Love without a Cross and one will not be able to carry a Cross without Love #stationofthecrossMore

Mike Stone - Amerika Committed Genocide in Japan 81 Years Ago Today

One must first understand why wars are fought in the first place. Christian Rakovsky, a founder of Jewish Bolshevism and one of the architects of World War II, was very clear on why that war was fought.
First, to punish Germany for printing their own money and prevent their example from spreading to other nations. Second, to prevent Germany's nationalistic spirit from spreading to other nations. Third, and most importantly, to weaken and destroy the Catholic Church.
Here are Rakovsky's own words, tape recorded and reprinted in the book Red Symphony by Dr. J. Landowsky
"Hitler, this uneducated and elementary man . . . took over for himself the privilege of manufacturing money . . . Are you capable of imagining what would have come of this system if it had infected a number of other states . . . This is very serious. . . . There is only one solution - war.
"We have yet another reason, a religious one. Communism cannot be the victor if it will not have suppressed the still living Christianity …

Almost-Spy Operation: Prevost's Intrigues in Peru

On 4 August, Peruvian essayist Santiago Roncagliolo, in a lengthy interview with Daniel Titinger, described Leo XIV's behind-the-scenes methods as Bishop Robert Prevost of Chiclayo, Peru.
According to Roncagliolo, Prevost quietly built coalitions, divided opponents, managed information, and preferred discreet political action to public confrontation. Roncagliolo is broadly sympathetic to Leo XIV.
"As a character to narrate he was a nightmare. He has no phrases, no scenes, no gestures. You ask the sources: 'What did Prevost say at that dramatic and crucial moment?' 'Nothing, I think'.'"
Weakening Opus Dei from Within
Interviewer Titinger described Prevost as "a Trojan horse": "He understands the adversary, doesn't confront him openly, but disables him from within. He's always quiet; that's why he wasn't well known."
Roncagliolo does not reject the characterization and discusses Prevost in those terms.
He also explains how Prevost weakened Opus Dei: "Prevost divided Opus Dei. He offered …More

Cardinal Aveline: “Every Religion Legitimately [!] Considers Itself True”

"Every religion legitimately considers itself to possess the truth," Cardinal Jean-Marc Aveline, Archbishop of Marseille and president of the French Bishops' Conference, said in an interview on Avvenire.it on August 5.
Talking about Marseille's religious diversity [where Arabic has long become the dominant language], Cardinal Aveline described the coexistence of Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, and Christians as a theological challenge: "We did not invent the plurality of religions, nor the fact that every religion legitimately considers itself to possess the truth."
On the Church's catholicity, Aveline claims: "The Creed we recite every Sunday embodies the Church's vocation to catholicity. If I had been born in China, I would have been Confucian; in Japan, Shinto."
He argued that the Church's catholicity means recognizing "the desire for God in the hearts of women and men of every religion."
Citing the Second Vatican Council, he said the Holy Spirit offers everyone "the possibility of being …More

Bishop Michael Sis of San Angelo, West Texas, will expand access to the traditional Latin Mass with a new monthly celebration at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Midland, beginning August 30.
Rev. Ryan Rojo, the diocese’s Vocations Director and Director of Seminarians, announced the development on X.com.
The Mass will be celebrated on the last Sunday of each month at 3 p.m.
Rev. Rojo promised that this is “just a beginning”: “The diocese discerns a path forward to provide for our people.”
He added that other diocesan priests will learn to celebrate the Roman rite in the coming weeks and months.
The existing weekly Traditional Latin Mass at St. Margaret of Scotland Church in San Angelo will continue unchanged.

St. Thomas Aquinas and the Socialists

– Folha de S. Paulo, February 22, 1984 –
by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira
A BRAZILIAN friend of mine in Spain — actually one of that country’s most ardent admirers — sent me some news of what is going on under the present socialist government.
It was no surprise for one who knows the mentality, doctrine and program of the majority PSOE (Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party), because Spanish socialism (like its French counterpart) strives to destroy the family in every possible way. Divorce, the “depenalization” of homosexuality and of abortion in many circumstances, and the promotion of contraception are key points in the PSOE’s activity.
My friend wrote me:
“Immorality in Spain has really grown in the last few years. This winter all the billboards are terribly immoral, and you cannot imagine what the TV programs are like. The ambience in the schools has also reached a climax of immorality. What you see in the streets are scenes of unbridled immorality. In short, immorality has a green light …More
