Madness! Päivi Räsänen Back To Court After Exoneration In Two Courts

Finland is dragging Miss Päivi Räsänen - mother, physician, parliamentarian and former interior minister - back to court for quoting Bible verses.

The state prosecutor is appealing against the second unanimous court decision, which cleared Räsänen and a Lutheran bishop of charges of 'hate speech'. They only shared their religious beliefs on homosexuality.

On 14th November 2023, the Helsinki Court of Appeal had dismissed all charges against Räsänen and the Lutheran. The Supreme Court must now decide whether to hear the case.

Räsänen is not afraid of another hearing before the Supreme Court.
