Our Lady has been appearing in Medjugorje, Bosnia-Herzegovina, since June 24th, 1981!

These are the longest apparitions, after those which occurred 350 years ago at Notre-Dame-du-Laus, near Gap, in the French Alps: there, in fact, Our Lady appeared to visionary Benoîte Rencurel for 54 years.

Laus, Lourdes, Fatima… and today, Medjugorje. The Mother of Christ, sent by God, invites us to choose the way of salvation and eternal life, to reconcile ourselves to each other, to seek peace in our heart, and to follow Jesus who gives peace…

In Medjugorje, she has chosen six witnesses to whom she should give ten secrets concerning the future of the world. Each ‘visionary’ has received a particular mission: Vicka and Jakov pray for the sick; Ivan for young people, priests, nuns and religious people; Marija for the souls in Purgatory; and Ivanka for families. Mirjana has been given the task of praying for those we call ‘non-believers’ and whom Our Lady defines as “those who have not experienced God’s love”. Mirjana has also been chosen to reveal in the future, through a priest, the ten secrets to the whole world.

From the terror lived under the oppressive communist regime to the fervor of millions of pilgrims who come from all over the world to respond to Mary’s call at Medjugorje; from total self-giving through prayer to the testimonies and meetings with pilgrims; from contemplation of Paradise every second day of the month, surrounded by an immense crowd, to the special mission of praying for those who have not come to know God’s love; from the simple, ordinary daily life of a wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend to the huge responsibility of being the custodian of the secrets received from Heaven… Mirjana’s life experience is an extraordinary adventure!

A large number of books, films, and documentaries have been produced on Medjugorje … But it is the first time that a visionary has felt the need to share her experience, without ever wanting to draw attention to herself. Mirjana’s hope is that her testimony will touch the hearts of those who are seeking the Heavenly Father; God’s love - although they are not aware of it sometimes – thus contributing further to the mission assigned to her by Our Lady.

The project was ambitious and the task significant; therefore, Mirjana asked her friend Sabrina Covic-Radojicic to help her. Their long-standing friendship made this collaboration natural. They thought that to reach a wider public, it would be wise to design this book as a simple dialogue, a sort of friendly exchange between two friends. It’s the book you have in your hands.
