How about we embrace self-evident truth with the Catholic policy, "Recognize and Reject" ?

Formal heresy requires the judgment of the superior and then the refusal to correct,then it goes from material to formal. Frankie is indeed a heretic and also,I think, an apostate but it takes a formal judgment from his superior for it to be formal ,his only superior is Christ.

The Church is superior to him.
He is not the Church, nor is the Church of him.
A Catholic person, a men in good faith must be not a heretic neither. And he must be chosen legitimately and lawfully to become a vicar of Christ our Lord.
