Criminals smeared the office with hate slogans such as "You will pay" and "We will not give you peace". The hate group disabled out the security cameras with red paint and pasted 15 posters on the outside of the office showing the Palestinian flag waving over a burning St Peter's Basilica and the slogan 'Queers for Palestine'. It was the 12th act of vandalism against the office in less than three years. For 'Pro Vita & Famiglia', this constitutes a real persecution with a worrying escalation of violent and threatening content. Francis' statement was only made in an interview and therefore doesn't belong to the Magisterium of the Church, Mgr Bätzing reassures: "I have never heard him speak like this before, and I have often spoken with him personally about these issues." Mgr. Bätzing presents Francis as a "door opener" who doesn't want to make any fundamental changes in doctrine himself.
